COVID-19 update from The Smile Center

To Our Patients,

We understand and deeply respect that you may be concerned about Coronavirus in public places… even at our state-of-the-art sterilized office.

At The Smile Center, I want to assure you that our office has even further heightened our already rigid sterilization safeguards and office cleaning standards to minimize the possibility of transmission to our outstanding team…or to you, our valued patient. We have always far exceeded all standards for sterilization and patient care.

Our first priority is always the health and well-being of our patients. And that is a priority we take extremely seriously, even with the current disruptions we’re all experiencing.

Your dental health remains important to us as it plays such an important role in your overall health.

When you visit our office, you’ll see we’ve taken all the necessary steps to ensure you have the best patient experience possible. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please do not come to our office and call us to reschedule your appointment. We care for you and all our patients. If we see any symptoms in our patients or our team, we will reschedule the appointment on the spot and send that individual home.

It is just one more way that we can show our high level of care for you…and for everyone in our community. We very much look forward to seeing you, your family, and your friends very soon.

Sincerely,

Dr. John Miller
The Smile Center

Rebuild Your Smile With Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns are a versatile restoration that we can use to repair many types of damage, including:

  • Severe tooth decay
  • Broken teeth
  • Badly chipped teeth

Because dental crowns cover your entire tooth, they not only improve the appearance of damaged teeth but also fortify them against further damage.

Our team can use dental bridges to replace missing teeth. We will anchor a bridge to the teeth adjacent to your missing one, then create a replacement tooth to fill the gap.

Your Dental Crown or Dental Bridge Will Fit & Look Great

Our dental crowns and bridges are manufactured at a respected laboratory, but Dr. Miller will:

  • Prepare your teeth for crown or bridge placement
  • Take impressions of your teeth, which are used to achieve a precise fit
  • Match the color of your teeth for a natural look

He will also provide you with a temporary dental crown or dental bridge to wear while your final one is produced, a process that usually takes a week or two.

Dental crowns and dental bridges can be made from a variety of materials, including porcelain, composite, and gold. Dr. Miller will help you determine which material is the best one for your restoration.

Replace a Tooth With a Dental Crown & Dental Implant

Crowns and bridges have traditionally been used to repair and replace existing teeth. However, with the growing popularity of dental implants, they are also now used with these prosthetic teeth roots to replace a single missing tooth or even several missing teeth.

For teeth replacement, we first embed a dental implant into your jaw. Then we attach a piece of hardware called an abutment to the implant, and your dental crown or dental bridge is attached to the abutment. Your new replacement teeth will look, feel, and function just like your own!

Murrells Inlet dental crowns and bridges will give you back a gorgeous smile. Call us today at 843-491-5353 to make an appointment. Be sure to ask about our in-house dental savings plan, giving you 15 percent off your treatment!
