High-Tech Care In A Comfortable Setting
What do you think of when you imagine a dentist’s office? Perhaps you think of drab colors and aggressive air conditioning, things that together make for an uninviting and uninspiring environment.
We wanted to create a space reflective of our coastal South Carolina way of life. We wanted to create a place where our team of dental professionals and our patients could look forward to coming to!
That’s why our office has a bit of a beach-house feel. We hope it’ll help you feel relaxed before your appointment.
But we know that it’s probably going to take more than a warm environment to help you overcome your fear of the dentist.
Creating a comfortable experience for patients also includes investing in the latest dental technology. In recent years, computer-assisted dentistry has continued to evolve in ways that truly benefit the patient.
For example, we’re proud to use The Wand® to numb your mouth before a procedure. This technology takes the sting out of administering local anesthesia!
Some of our services also make use of dental lasers. We realize this might sound scary, but dental lasers actually make treatment more gentle and more precise!
When our highly skilled team of dental professionals uses state-of-the-art technology in a comfortable setting, we think it’s a winning combination.
Comfort Measures And Dental Sedation
We understand that sometimes a reassuring hand, a friendly face, and dental technology aren’t enough to ease your tension.
That’s why we’re proud to offer several different comfort amenities. This includes:
- Warm blankets
- Neck pillows
- Beverages
- TVs and headphones
- Air abrasion (to minimize the need for drills)
To further reduce stress and discomfort, we also offer two different kinds of dental sedation. Dental sedation involves the use of medication to affect the way you experience your dental work.
Nitrous oxide is a mild form of dental sedation that is perhaps more commonly known as “laughing gas.” We’ll place a small mask over your nose and have you take a few deep breaths. You’ll soon feel a wave of calm come over you.
We also offer oral sedation , which is administered in the form of a pill that you take before your procedure. It’ll help you feel relaxed and perhaps a bit sleepy. But ultimately, you’ll be ready for your dental work!
