Dental Treatments to rid you of Bad Breath
There are many possible causes of bad breath. Bacteria in your mouth is one of the most common, especially if it has already caused:
- Decay/cavities in your teeth
- Gum disease
- Dry mouth
In these cases, our dentists will treat the underlying causes.
We will remove bacteria-filled plaque from your teeth with a thorough dental cleaning. If we find cavities in any of your teeth, we’ll remove all the decay and seal your tooth with a tooth-colored filling to protect it from further decay. For more severe cavities, we may recommend a dental crown. And if decay gets into the center of your tooth, you may need a root canal.
A good dental cleaning can also treat minor cases of gum disease. For more advanced cases, we’ll suggest a deep-cleaning gum disease treatment called scaling and root planing.
In addition, we advise using an antibacterial mouth rinse called Tooth & Gums Tonic. Created by dentists, the product is formulated with essential oils and all-natural ingredients. It is more effective than mouthwashes from the drugstore. The tonic is also a good treatment for dry mouth.
